This is the first time you will likely put on a helmet and paddle close to the rocks. Our goal here is to paddle along the edges, both literally and figuratively. We will work on boat control in conditions that an error may mean a little bump or getting wet. Confidence building in a little bit of conditions is our ultimate goal.

Rocks and Ledges II
In this course, we are going to paddle closer to the edge in bigger conditions. You will be getting wet! We will be doing rescues in around rocks whether for real or as a scenario. If you need an adrenaline rush, this will be good medicine!

Prerequisites: Rocks and Ledges 1, 4 Star Assessment, or equivalent.
An introductory course that will concentrate on getting comfortable in and around kayaks. We will spend some time exploring the ocean environment as it affects our boats. We will work in sheltered conditions learning the basic strokes to get the boats to move in the direction we want and; most importantly, how to keep them upright. Wet exits and rescues will be covered.

Sea Kayaking II
Sea Kayaking II - For the paddler who has some understanding of how to control a kayak. We will introduce more advanced skills and techniques in paddling and seamanship. Although a good part of our time will be spent in sheltered conditions, we will take advantage of the environment to reinforce our lessons.

Prerequisites: Sea Kayaking I, 3 Star Assessment, or equivalent.
Sea Kayaking III
We will paddle the most exposed parts of the most exposed islands in the area we are operating in. We will actively search out “adventure”. Strong seamanship skills, solid paddling skills and a desire to get a bit out of your comfort zone are a must.
